Pre-Registration Info:
Save time on race morning! A pre-registration pickup will be held on Friday, May 12th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Riggs CHC clinic at 1716 Hartford Street, and runners can pick up t-shirts and race bags.
No t-shirt exchanges will be allowed until post-race. T-shirt exchanges will be based on availability.
Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10th. Registration after this point should be done via telephone on May 11th or 12th or at the Riggs CHC Location on Hartford on the day of the race.
Scoring & Timing
The race will be electronically chip timed by DINO Races. Results will be posted at the conclusion of the race and will also be available at www.RiggsRun5K.com and www.RiggsHealth.com.
First Male and First Female across the Finish Line are the Overall winners. Age group awards will be based on chip to chip time.
Restrictions
Due to insurance requirements and for the safety of all participants, we do ask that no animals be brought to the event. Strollers are welcome, but only if you plan to walk the course. When participants are being asked to line up for the race, runners will be asked to move to the front of the pack, while walkers will be asked to stay toward the back. Anyone with a stroller is asked to stand toward the back of the pack to allow plenty of space for all participants.
Registration Refunds
Registration fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and are not tax-deductible. Once your registration has been received and accepted, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You may not transfer your entry to the following year. If you registered and are unable to participate in the race, please e-mail marketing@riggshealth.com and include your name, address and shirt size. Running shirts will be mailed approximately 4-6 weeks after the event.
Location
The race will begin and end at the Riggs CHC Hartford St. location at 1716 Hartford St. in Lafayette. Pre-registration and Race Day Registration will be at this location as well.
Directions
From 1-65: Take exit 172 (Lafayette/Rossville) and head west on SR 26. The road will narrow and become South Street. Turn right onto 18th Street. Follow 18th St. through four stoplights and Riggs CHC will be on the left. Turn onto Hartford Street immediately in front of the Riggs building. Parking will be available in the lot on 17th Street.
From downtown Lafayette : Take South Street (SR 26) east, away from the river. Turn left onto 18th Street. Follow 18th St. through four stoplights and Riggs CHC will be on the left. Turn onto Hartford Street immediately in front of the Riggs building. Parking will be available in the lot on 17th Street.
Course Description
The race will start and finish at our Hartford Street Riggs location (1716 Hartford St) and wind through the neighborhoods of Hanna, Historic Jefferson, Stockton Crossing, Perrin, and Sunnyside to the South Street location of the Clinic (2316 South Street) and come back. The route is exactly 5 km or 3.1 miles. Volunteers will be available along the route to provide directional assistance.
Awards
Special awards will be given to the overall male and female winners. In addition, prizes will be given to the male and female winners in each age category. Age categories are: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-40, 41-50, 51-60, and over 60.
